2007 was Wild Style’s 25th anniversary, well…we didn’t have a blog just yet. So I’ll just post this because it’s been 25 years since I copped the Soundtrack. I remember seeing the movie ad in the L.A. weekly and beggin’ my mom to take me, she didn’t. Looking back I don’t know why I didn’t just take the bus, I was an adventurous kid back then. Maybe I was short on my allowance money, oh yeah, I didn’t get an allowance. Anyways, peep the Jay Smooth interviews below with Charlie Ahearn (Director), very insightful.

Definitely one of the most influential Hip Hop movies of all-time. This, along with Style Wars and the Blondie – Rapture video, propelled me into the world of graf, breaking, and eventually djing/producing.
