CrookOne’s Quick and Easy Meals #6 (Fried Green Chicken Enchilada Won Tons)
Posted by: | CommentsWelcome to my 6th installment of CrookOne’s Quick and Easy Meals. Here’s one I came up with using leftover stuff from this recipe.
So yeah, I usually have leftover chicken from when I make my enchiladas and I’m looking at this bowl of chicken and asking myself: “…the fuck I’m gonna do with this shit!?”
Well, one day I was like “how ’bout using that shit for some won tons?!” So I tried it and it came out pretty cool, peep the ingredients:
It’s the leftover crap from the enchiladas plus some won ton/dumpling/pot sticker wrap thingys you can find at the market.
1. Leftover Chicken
2. Leftover Cilantro
3. Leftover Cacique Crema (a mild, slightly sweet Mexican table cream)
4. Leftover enchilada sauce
5. Round wraps (or the square ones would work too)
Basically you take a wrap and put a dollop of chicken in the middle (I know it’s tempting but don’t over stuff) and I also put a lil dab of enchilada sauce on the chicken so when you take a bite there is a gooey lil surprise waiting for you, kinda reminiscent of a piece of Freshen Up gum. Then moisten the outer edges of the wrap. The instructions say egg wash or warm water. In this case I just used the enchilada sauce:
Next, fold them shits over and crimp the edges with a fork or use your fingers or somethin’. Repeat process ’til you run out of chicken.
Next, heat up a frying pan (medium-high) with some oil in it. I use canola ’cause it’s ‘sposed to be somewhat healthy and flavorless. Put like 3-4 won tons in a pan at a time so as not to crowd the pan and cool off the oil too much. But watchout… when they are in the pan it can be mad dangerous, be careful them shits can pop hot scolding oil at you usually in the direction of your eyes (or the nipples if you’re shirtless) like a God Damn Spitting Cobra. It should take a few minutes on each side, flip ‘em and take ‘em out when they’re golden brown on both sides:
Top with crema, sprinkle with chopped cilantro…and that’s pretty much it, ya’ll. You are left with a tasty snack made from those pesky leftovers!
FFFreak!

This venue gives us the opportunity to bring in guest Djs and acts as well, hope to see you out Sacto!

Mexicans With Guns

04 – Lord of the Game (ft. Mexican Girl)

08 – Culture Shock
09 – 5D

Death Grips is a project by Zach Hill and some homies out of Sacto. I ended up bustin’ some cuts/sounds on some last minute shit the day before it was to be mixed. Not sure how much of my stuff is gonna end up in the final cut, but regardless of that, check for this mixtape style album to drop on 4/27 entitled Exmilitary.
From the stuff I heard, shit is bananas.
